AI Visibility Score: Will ChatGPT Recommend Your Company?
Answer 10 yes-or-no questions to see how likely ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews are to recommend your company, and what to fix first. Built from our study of 552 sources AI tools cite for B2B buying questions. Takes 2 minutes; nothing is stored.
1. When you ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for the best option in your category, is your company named?
This is the outcome everything else feeds.2. Are you on at least two third-party 'best [your category]' list articles that rank on Google's first page?
For 'best X' questions, about half the sources AI tools cite are third-party lists.3. Do you have 10 or more verified reviews on G2, Clutch, Trustpilot or the review site your category uses?
Questions about a company by name are answered mainly from reviews.4. In the last 12 months, has a publication your buyers recognise written about you (for example Business Insider, Yahoo Finance or a leading trade outlet)?
Earned media makes up 84% of the links AI tools cite (Muck Rack, 2026).5. Does each specific question buyers ask (pricing model, guarantee, integrations, regions) have its own page that answers it in the first sentence?
For specific questions, about 77% of sources are the vendor's own page answering that exact question.6. Do you have honest comparison or 'alternatives' pages for your main competitors?
For 'X vs Y' questions, about 61% of sources are list and comparison articles.7. Are your company facts (founding year, location, what you do, for whom) the same on your website, LinkedIn, Crunchbase and review sites?
When facts disagree, AI tools hedge or call the evidence 'limited'.8. Are your key pages indexed in Google Search Console, with Organization and FAQ structured data set up?
A page Google hasn't indexed can't rank or be cited.9. Are your executives visible as named experts outside your own channels (interviews, bylines, podcasts)?
Buyers, investors and AI tools look for the people behind the company.10. Do you check every month which sources AI tools cite when buyers ask about your category?
The source list tells you exactly which publications and lists to get onto next.0 of 10 answered. Your score appears when you've answered all 10.
How the score works
Each question is worth 10 points. The questions follow what our October 2026 study found AI tools actually read: for broad "best X" questions, about half of sources were third-party list articles; for "X vs Y" questions, about 61% were list and comparison articles; for very specific questions, about 77% were the vendor's own pages; and questions about one company by name leaned on reviews.
